Strange Light

This pic pretty much speaks for itself. One of those evenings when the light is almost pink and a rainbow added in for good measure!

Form an orderly line....

These finches are Paulies favourite! There can be hundreds of them all at once lined up on our garden fence. Very cool!

Skulls

I love coming across skulls and skeletons randomly when I'm out and about. It's a little morbid I guess...but I also think it's pretty cool. Makes for a good pic anyway!!!

Great Eggfly

One of the many beautiful butterflies that we are lucky enough to have visit our garden, these butterflies are found throughout Australasia.

Snake Skin

This is one of the first skins our snake 'Babylon' shed. I waited by her terrarium for hours so I could see her  do it and it was quite amazing.  Nearly as amazing as watching her feed!

Green Tree Snake

The Common Green Tree snake is a reptile that I was lead to believe (as it's name suggests) to be something that I would stumble across almost on a daily basis. HA! Not likely! In my world the Green Tree Snake is something quite illusive. No matter how hard I have searched...nothing! In fact I  lived in Aussie for more than 2 years before I finally set eyes on one of these beautiful snakes and boy am I glad I did, they are gorgeous.
Although I hasten to add...I never seen another one since (though not due to lack of looking!!!) Common? Not in my neck of the woods!

Termite Mounds

Termite mounds are everywhere you look out in the Australian bush and not only do they make for a fantastic landscape, but they also never cease to amaze me. How something as tiny as a termite can build something as monstrous as this!!! Quite something.

A rare glimpse inside.....

Dragons

How about this lovely fellow then? He is a Heath Dragon and actually only about 150mm in length (so pretty hard to spot) but we were lucky enough to find a few of them scuttling around in the bush the other week when we went on one of our trips. Quite handsome isn't he?
